ACT-REGISTRATION-877-228-4881-CA

I signed up for a marathon event a few weeks ago and then this charge mysteriously appeared. I called the number 877 228 4881 and appearently they signed me up for a membership that I did not authorize. They remove the membership after you call them but it is still annoying.

They charged me on thanksgiving then again on christmas day for. I haven’t gone anywhere in both holidays, they said I bought a runners guide membership, then a gym membership! I probably should excersize like everyone else, but really it’s the last thing I do! Complete fraud! Just when I was reporting this to my bank, another charge appeared. Bank said they are investigating the payments and the ACT company.

We signed my grandson up for a FirstTee class, they charged us for that, but also another extra charge. We were charged for the class fee and then a 65$ payment appeared that we didn’t authorize. Very unethical.

I thought it was fraud at first, I made some research and noticed it is the fee for my son to attend summer camps. These youth centers use "ACT" to charge debit and credit cards and it appears with ACT-REGISTRATION 877 228 4881 on your details.

I thought this was an unauthorized charge but I remembered that my YMCA notified me about a change they made a month prior. It turns out they were changing their membership registration system to ACTIVE Network, so it’s just YMCA membership for me.

The charge with the number 877 228 4881 stands for Black Berry Farm, the payment was for swimming pool entrance fee.
